ScanTech gears up for growth in well test support
ScanTech Offshore is making a significant investment in the expansion of a manufacturing base and workforce to support customer requirements as well as satisfy increased demand in the global well testing market sector.
The investment of £1.7 million in state-of-the-art workshop and office facilities in Great Yarmouth supports continued growth in both equipment sales and an increase in the rental fleet capacity and equipment. The new facility, due to open in June 2014, will meet demand for in excess of 120 units per annum of main fleet Zone II air compressors, steam generators and rig cooling booster pumps.
With manufacturing becoming the base’s primary function, employees will benefit from improved product training as they will have access to better knowledge and understanding of everything from assembly to operation of equipment.
ScanTech Offshore's managing director Shaun Ryan explains:
“This expansion will benefit our clients who will find that our services are provided by multi-skilled and highly competent personnel, ensuring improved availability of equipment through our significantly increased capacity.”
